MOVING BIN RENTAL FAQ
Straight answers about South Shore delivery, pickup, packages, extensions, cleaning, and route coverage.
How does delivery and pickup work?+
We deliver the bins outside or at your door on the scheduled date. You pack, move, unpack, and empty them. We return to collect them from an accessible outdoor pickup point. Our service is door-to-door; we do not enter the home.
What is included with a rental?+
Your selected number of reusable bins, fitted lids, appropriately scaled dollies, delivery, and pickup within our free core service area. Any travel fee is confirmed before payment.
How long is the standard rental?+
Every standard package includes 10 days. Choose delivery and pickup dates that give you time to pack before the move and unpack afterward.
Can I keep the bins longer?+
Yes. Contact us before your scheduled pickup. Short extensions are charged by the day and capped at the applicable full additional-week rate.
What happens if the bins are not ready for pickup?+
Bins must be empty, closed, and accessible at the confirmed pickup point. A failed pickup may require a separate rescheduling fee. If we delay pickup, you are never charged for that delay.
How many bins should I order?+
Our guide recommends 20 for a studio or small move, 30 for one bedroom, 40 for two bedrooms, 60 for three bedrooms, 80 for four bedrooms, and 100 for five bedrooms or a large move. These are planning recommendations, not guarantees.
What is the smallest bin package?+
Our smallest package is 20 bins for $129. Every order includes door-to-door delivery and pickup, plus dollies matched to the package.
How large are the bins?+
Our pilot fleet uses sturdy bins around 17–19 gallons, approximately 26.7 by 17.8 by 12.5 inches. This size is roomy while helping prevent the overloading common with larger totes.
Are lids and dollies included?+
Yes. Matching lids and dollies are included, with dolly quantities scaled to the package size.
Will you move my packed bins to the new address?+
No. We deliver empty bins and later pick up empty bins. You or your moving company transports the packed bins between addresses.
Do I need to be home?+
Usually not, provided we have clear instructions and a safe, accessible drop-off or pickup location. We will confirm the details before service.
Which ZIP codes receive free delivery and pickup?+
Both the origin and destination must be in our approved South Shore core area for free service. Use the two-ZIP checker on the booking page for an immediate preliminary result.
What if one address is outside the free area?+
Standard checkout pauses so we can review the route and quote a reasonable travel fee. A non-core ZIP does not automatically mean we cannot serve you.
How much notice do you need?+
Online requests should generally be submitted at least 48 hours before delivery. Need bins sooner? Contact us and we will see what we can do.
Can I change my dates or package?+
Contact us as soon as possible. Changes depend on routing and availability, and we will confirm any price difference before updating your order.
How much weight can I put in each bin?+
Pack bins so one person can safely handle them. Spread books, tools, and other dense items across several bins instead of concentrating weight in one.
What cannot go in the bins?+
Do not pack hazardous materials, flammables, explosives, leaking liquids, perishable food, illegal items, live animals, or anything that could contaminate or damage the equipment.
Are the bins waterproof?+
They are durable and resist ordinary splashes, but they are not guaranteed watertight. Keep them closed and protect sensitive contents from prolonged rain or standing water.
How are returned bins cleaned?+
Every bin is individually inspected, washed, dried, and kept separate from clean inventory before the next rental. We avoid absolute claims such as sterile or pest-free.
What is your pest policy?+
Tell us about known or suspected bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, rodents, or other serious pest issues before delivery. Known active bed-bug situations may be declined to protect customers and inventory.
Is there a security deposit?+
No security deposit is planned at launch. You pay the rental price, any applicable travel fee, and tax at checkout, then accept responsibility for the equipment under the rental terms.
What if a bin, lid, or dolly is lost or damaged?+
Incidentals may be invoiced after inspection. Current reference charges are about $30 per bin, $15 per lid, and $100 per dolly; extraordinary contamination may be billed at actual cleaning or replacement cost.
Can I use the bins for apartments, offices, renovations, or staging?+
Yes. They work well for local residential moves, apartments, office moves, renovations, decluttering, home staging, storage transitions, and estate projects. Tell us about special access needs.
Are reusable bins cheaper than cardboard boxes?+
Not always. The clearest promise is a better way to move for about the same cost as buying quality boxes. On larger moves, reusable bins can be comparable to or less than heavy-duty cardboard plus tape.
